Through collaboration with Kertabumi waste bank, this CSR program represents the company’s concrete step in realizing circular economy principles. Through its ecosystem of entities, which includes Cermati, Cermati Protect, Cermati Invest, Indodana Finance, and Indodana Fintech, Cermati Fintech Group contributed to the procurement of an inorganic waste processing machine at the Kertabumi Recycling Center, South Tangerang. The recycling machine is capable of processing up to 20 tons of waste per month, equivalent to approximately 240 tons per year. With an operational lifespan of up to 15 years. This means that over 15 years, Cermati Fintech Group can contribute to recycling as much as 3,600 tons of waste together with Kertabumi. In addition to machinery support, Cermati Fintech Group also focuses on managing inorganic waste generated from various operational materials, ranging from paper and fabric to plastic and impraboard. This initiative successfully collected up to 660 kilograms of combined waste, which will be reprocessed by skilled Kertabumi partners, local residents involved in Karang Taruna and PKK, into handicraft products with economic value. These handicrafts will be marketed through Kertabumi’s gallery as well as its social media. Cermati Fintech Group highly appreciates Kertabumi’s commitment that every rupiah generated from sales will be reinvested to support operations and community welfare, ensuring that the circular economy cycle continues to run and deliver sustainable benefits. This waste management program became a concrete step that the company’s vision extends beyond digital financial solutions, but also includes active contributions to Indonesia’s sustainability ecosystem. CEO Cermati Fintech Group, Andhy Koesnandar stated, “We believe that business growth should not come at the expense of environmental sustainability. By transforming branding materials into functional products, we take a creative approach to minimizing our operational carbon footprint and ensuring that our promotional materials have a longer and more meaningful lifecycle.” Director of Indodana Fintech, Ronny Wijaya, added, “This initiative is a real step in building a sustainable financial technology ecosystem. We want the presence of our digital solutions in society to go hand in hand with positive impacts on environmental preservation, so that innovation and nature can grow harmoniously together.” Director of Indodana Finance, Iwan Dewanto, emphasized that beyond environmental care and future sustainability, there is also an important aspect of community empowerment that must be addressed. Through this program, the company aims to change the paradigm that waste is not the end of a process, but rather the beginning of new value. With proper processing, waste can be transformed into finished products that provide benefits, economic value, and utility for the community. “Our focus is not merely on waste processing machines, but on strengthening community empowerment. Through this support, we hope that residents around the Kertabumi Recycling Center can develop their creative economy potential, so that managed waste generates added financial value and opens up business opportunities arising from the recycling process, contributing to community welfare.” Cermati Fintech Group believes that the circular economy can address environmental challenges while simultaneously serving as a solution to improve local community economies.
