Indodana Fintech Empowers Over 170 Students at Mataram University
PT Artha Dana Teknologi (Indodana Fintech), a licensed cash loan provider supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), held a financial literacy program titled ‘Pindar Mengajar: Smart Management, Wise Transactions’ at the Faculty of Economics & Business, Mataram University, West Nusa Tenggara. The event, attended by more than 170 students, collaborated with the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) to equip the younger generation to be wiser in transacting within the modern financial ecosystem.
Based on the results of the National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) from the Financial Services Authority, the Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Statistics Indonesia, there has been an increase from the previous year, with the financial literacy index reaching 69.57% and the financial inclusion index at 93.61%. This increase has motivated Indodana Fintech to contribute to the national financial literacy and inclusion movement by directly engaging in face-to-face educational sessions with the younger generation, particularly college students.
President Director of PT Artha Dana Teknologi, Ronny Wijaya, who served as one of the speakers at the event, emphasized that the ease of access to financial services needs to be balanced with a proper understanding of risks by the public, especially the youth. “We are committed to driving national financial literacy among university students as the younger generation, hoping that they can serve as agents of change by utilizing finance through good management and making wise financial decisions,” explained Ronny.
During the educational session, Indodana Fintech provided education regarding the essence of prudence in accessing digital financial services. Students were equipped with a foundational understanding to distinguish between legal and illegal online lending platforms, recognize access limits and the importance of personal data security, as well as wise ways to utilize finances for purposes that support education, training, business development, and employment.
